| Classical guitars in Höfner's Green Line Series are crafted exclusively from renewable European tone woods. Each model matches a selected solid German spruce top with a maple or walnut body, an alder neck and a walnut fingerboard. In addition, instruments in the Green Line Series are varnished using an environmentally neutral process. The HGL Series reflects Höfner's traditional art of guitar making and our respect for the limited resources of our environment. |

Only those who have observed Höfner's master luthiers at work can appreciate the craftsmanship, care and love that goes into the creation of a Höfner master guitar.
Each Höfner's master classical guitar is individually constructed by one of Höfner's most senior and experienced luthiers. By combining only the choicest tone woods with an extraordinary attention to detail, Höfner's craftsmen create instruments capable of translating every nuance of technique into clear, sweet sound.
The luthiers at Höfner prefer to craft the soundboards of our master classical guitars from hand-selected all-solid German spruce. Spruce matures more thoroughly and dramatically than cedar and ultimately gives greater articulation to the guitarist's technique. Its extended bass and treble frequencies also yield a wider, more transparent tone than cedar, which typically emphasizes the midrange.

HGA Series |
Höfner's new HA-Series come with three different body shapings: Grand-Concert (GC), Grand-Auditorium (GA) and Jumbo (JC).
Tops of all models are made of solid spruce. Wood for back and sides is either rosewood (07), flamed maple (05) or the extraordinary decorative exotic lacewood (03) which is almost unique on guitar bodies.
An ultra thin high-gloss finish optimizes the sound characteristics of the bodies; the necks are matt finished. All models incorporate high quality components as bone material for nut and saddle and active pick up system, e.g. the B-Band A3.2 on all 6-string models. |
